Apply for faculty jobs at central varsities with a single click on dedicated portal

New Delhi: Job hunting at central universities has become easier for qualified teachers as an exclusive portal has been launched by the University Grants Commission.

UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar introduced the CU–Chayan website (https://curec.samarth.ac.in/) the other day. ('Chayan' means 'selection'.)

Jagadesh Kumar said the portal lists the teaching vacancies across all central universities and the status of the applications too could be checked. Aspirants could apply to various universities in a single click. Meanwhile, shortlisting the candidates, interview and appointment would be based on the current criteria.

The details of the vacancies that have already been published wouldn’t be available in the new web portal. However, the vacancies that arises in the future would be published.

The authorities clarified that the universities would continue advertising the vacancies in media.
