What are the options for higher studies after Secondary School Leaving Certificate and higher secondary Plus Two examinations? Numerous. Before selecting a course, determine if you have the aptitude (taste) for it.

Don't choose courses just by looking at a high salary or status. We have to make sure that we have the aptitude for it. The State Institute of Education Technology in Thiruvananthapuram is providing the opportunity for this for Rs 100. The aptitude of the students is measured through an online test lasting 90 minutes.

The questions, apart from measuring aptitude, will assess interest, personality, etc of the candidates. The result will be known in three days.

The fee can be paid to the State Bank of India's branch at Althara in Thiruvananthapuram. Account number: 10270827389. Tel: 0471-2338540.

The right course for you

Most people have wishes. But many don't know how to go about it. The first thing is to find out which field you like. After that, learn about the easy ways leading to it. There is no answer to the question which is the best course. We have to decide the best course after considering many factors.

The matters to be considered include aptitude of the student, the financial capacity of the family, the duration of the course, specialties of the institution, and scope for job.

All these are equally important. Employment potential is an important factor in the case of all courses. Students taking loans should make sure that they can repay the loan with the salary of the job they get in that field.

Higher studies abroad

Studying abroad is expensive. The family's finances and overseas circumstances should be considered while thinking about this. It is better to go abroad for higher studies after graduation than after Plus Two, considering the syllabus here.

Kindly note that graduation abroad means post-graduation here. There, the degree is called under-graduation.

Civil Service

There are a few things that those going that route should be aware of. It is the exam with the lowest pass percentage. Out of lakhs of contestants, less than a thousand people will get placement.
