Alappuzha: The marksheet of the practical examination should be shown, if a student asks for it, ordered the Kerala State Information Commission.

The order was in response to an application filed by the father of Kochi native Surya Arun Sreedhar after the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education and the Director turned down a Right to Information plea for the marksheet.

In his order, Information Commissioner A Abdul Hakeem has directed that the complainant should be shown the documents and the action taken should be reported by July 7.

The Higher Secondary authorities had contended that a 2021 notification stated that facilities for as photocopying the practical exam marksheets are not available. But the Commission pointed out that the notification does not state that the marksheet and mark details would not be permitted to be seen.
