4,58,773 applicants for Plus-One admission; Malappuram tops

Thiruvananthapuram: As many as 4,58,773 students have applied for higher secondary Plus-One (Class 11) admission in Kerala.

The most number of applicants are from the northern districts of Malappuram (80,764), Kozhikode (47,064), Palakkad (44,094) and Kannur (36,871). The lowest number of applicants are from Wayanad (12,004), Idukki (12,641), Pathanamthitta (13,985), and Kasaragod (19,406) districts.

Out of the total applicants, 4,22,497 have cleared the Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination held by the Kerala Board of Public Examinations (KBPE). While 25,350 applicants qualified the Central Board of Secondary Education exam, 2,627 are Indian Certificate of Secondary Education holders and 8,299 applicants are from other schemes.

Allotment schedule

The trial allotment lists through the single-window system will be published on June 13. The first allotment is on June 19, and the last allotment in the first phase is on July 1. The Plus-One classes will begin on July 5.

During the supplementary allotment phase that will begin on July 10, those who have not applied now can also apply. The last date for submitting applications for the sports quota is June 15 and 349 students have applied so far. Around 4,269 have registered online for submitting applications.
