72 trades in Industrial Training Institutes in Kerala; apply now

Thiruvananthapuram: The online window to submit applications for admissions to 72 trades in government Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) under the Industrial Training Department, Kerala, has been opened.

The admission portal is https://itiadmissions.kerala.gov.in and the last date to apply is July 15.

The trades are approved by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) and the Kerala State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).

Craftsman training syllabus in various trades at the government IITs in Kerala are provided by NCVT and SCVT.

Eligibility

Applicants should have completed 14 years of age on August 1 this year. The minimum age is 18 years for Driver-cum-Mechanic (LMV) trade. There is no upper-age limit.

Engineering and non-engineering trades are offered for students who have passed the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination and also for those who failed to clear SSLC.

A pass in Standard 10-level exam conducted by the Literacy Mission will be considered for admissions. Also, students who cleared the school-level Class 10 exam conducted by the CBSE or ICSE in matric trades are eligible. Those who passed CBSE Class 10 school-level exam are also eligible to apply.

However, private students who failed in the SSLC exam are not eligible to apply.

Other details

The application fee is Rs 100. Apart from submitting applications online, students have to complete verification of original documents at a government ITI under the Industrial Training Department near their residence before July 18. The rank-list will be published on July 22.
