JoSAA 2023 second round allotment to be announced today

The second round allotment for admissions to 119 institutions including IITs, NITs and IIITs for BTech and other programmes starting this year will be announced on Thursday. JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) had published the results of the first round allotment on June 30.

A total of 57,152 seats are available this year in various categories. The number of seats for allotment in open category: IITs 6689; NITs 9169; IIITs 3062; other government-funded institutions 3409. (Total open seats 22,349).

Of the total 57,152 seats, the remaining seats are in various other categories such as Open PWD, General EWS, General EWS PWD, SC, SC PWD, ST, ST PWD, OBC non-creamy layer and OBC non-creamy layer PWD.

Here is a glance at the closing ranks of the allotment during the first round this year at IIT Palakkad, NIT Calicut and IIIT Pala, three major institutions in Kerala.
