Apply for five-year LLB in Kerala’s law colleges by July 19

Students who have cleared Plus Two (Class 12) with at least 45% and those who are awaiting results can apply

The deadline to submit online applications for admissions to the five-year integrated LLB course starting in 2023–24 at four government and 19 private self-financing law colleges in Kerala is 4 pm on July 19.

Applications would be received on the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in, and the application fee is Rs 685. Candidates belonging to Scheduled categories need to pay only Rs 345.

Eligibility

Students who have cleared Plus Two (Class 12) with at least 45% and those who are awaiting results can apply. The cut-off is 42% for Backward and 40% for Scheduled category students. Applicants should have attained the age of 17 years as of December 31, 2023.

Admission

A two-hour entrance test comprising 200 objective-type questions will be conducted on August 6 as part of the selection process. Each correct answer carries three marks, and a wrong one carries a negative mark.

There will be 60 questions in General English, 45 in General Knowledge, 25 in math and Mental ability, and 70 in Aptitude for Legal Studies.

Seats

Students will be awarded a combined bachelor's and law degree (BA LLB, BA/BBCom/BBBA LLB honours).

There are 380 seats in total at the four government law colleges in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kozhikode.

Meanwhile, the private colleges offer 2,370 seats. The private self-financing colleges are: Al-Azhar, Thodupuzha; Bharat Mata, Aluva; CSI, Kanakkary; CSI, Parassala; Cooperative, Thodupuzha; Mar Gregorios, Thiruvananthapuram; Mount Zion, Pathanamthitta; NSS, Kottiyam; Law Academy, Thiruvananthapuram; Sree Narayana, Poothotta; Sree Narayana Guru, Kollam; KMCT, Kuttippuram; Markaz, Kozhikode; Krishnan Ezhuthachhan, Palakkad; Nehru Academy Of Law, Lakkidi; Ambooken Ittoop, Thrissur; MCT, Malappuram; Al-Ameen, Shoranur and Nithya Chaithanya Yati, Kayamkulam.
