MBITS Kothamangalam receives ICT membership

Ernakulam: Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science (MBITS), Kothamangalam, received the membership of the ICT Academy on Tuesday.

ICT Academy, which is a joint initiative of the Government of India, state governments and industries, provides skill training programmes to selected academic institutions.

College Placement Officer Jenty Joy received the membership from ICT Academy CEO Santhosh Kurup.

“It is one of the major achievements of our college. Through this membership, we hope to improve the educational and technical skills of our students and hope to bridge the gap between the academy and industry. ICT Academy has tie-up with many major IT firms and it could help in improving the placement opportunities of our students,” said college principal P Sojan Lal.

Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department Nidhish Eldho Baby also presided over the event.
