Beware of fake medical institutions, advertisements: Director of Medical Education

Thiruvananthapuram: The Director of Medical Education urged those aspiring to pursue paramedical or pharmacy-allied courses to ensure that the institutions and courses have official recognition before enrolling at the institute.

The aspirants should ensure that these are recognized by the Kerala University of Health Sciences, the Directorate of Medical Education, and the competent council. The word of caution was sounded amid widespread advertising by fake institutes.

The list of approved paramedical degree/PG courses under the government institutes, private self-financing institutes, and Kerala Health University and the institutes offering these are given on the website of the Kerala University of Health Sciences (kuhs.ac.in).

The list of various paramedical diploma, DPharm, and DHI courses recognized by the state government, the Directorate of Medical Education, the Kerala Paramedical Council, the Pharmacy Council, and the institutes offering these courses is available on the website of the Directorate of Medical Education (www.dme.kerala.gov.in), the DME said.
