DiST organises trade fair for commerce students

Angamaly: The Commerce Department and its Club Beta of De Paul Institute of Science & Technology conducted its annual trade fair 'LA-FOIRE 2K23' on Tuesday. Principal Rev Dr Johny Chacko Mangalath V C inaugurated the programme.

Club Beta consists of the students of the Commerce department of the college. The event, which aims to welcome new members to the club, saw students setting up stalls in front of their classrooms to sell various products such as handicrafts, books, snacks, and dress materials. They submitted their sales report and profit to the judges at the conclusion of the event.

Prizes were awarded based on parameters such as innovation, product variety, market presence, and sales strategy. The third-year students of BCom (Finance and Taxation) won first place, and the MCom final-year batch secured second place. Cultural programs were also organized as part of the event.

Vice-Principal Rev Dr Norby Paul Vithayathil delivered the felicitation speech. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Anna Maria, Secretary of Club Beta.
