Kochi: Applications have been invited for the Hormis Foundation Scholarships instituted in memory of K P Hormis, the founder of Federal Bank. Students who gained admission on merit in government, aided, self-financing and autonomous colleges for MBBS, engineering, BSc Nursing, MBA and BSc Agriculture and BSc (Honours) Cooperation and Banking of Agricultural University can apply.

The annual income of the student’s family should not exceed Rs 3 lakh. However, there is no income limit for dependents of soldiers who lost their lives during duty. One scholarship has been set apart for differently-abled students in each course.

“Students selected for the scholarship will receive up to Rs one lakh a year,” said K K Ajith Kumar, the chief human resources officer of Federal Bank. The last date to apply is December 17.
