Mukkam: The Director of General Education (DGE) has warned of stern action against those officials who prepare ‘Visiting Reports’ by summoning school authorities to the office to collect the documents instead of paying direct visits to Aided and Government schools in the state.

The admonishment comes following the detection of serious lapses on the part of Educational Officers during inspections held by the Super Check Cell. It was also found that many times, the officers, who summon the documents, fail to return them to schools in a timely manner.

As per the directions, the Educational Officers must pay a visit to schools in their jurisdiction at least once and carry out detailed inspections. Besides they should also conduct surprise visits, at least once, to each of the educational institutions.
