Hindustan Int'l School inaugurates sustainable development goals club

Chennai: Hindustan International School here inaugurated the UN Sustainable Development Goals Impact Club (SDG Club) for its students on the occasion of Children's Day on Tuesday. The club aims to achieve a sustainable and equitable world by 2030.

The move will also focus on creating awareness among students and helping them work towards fulfilling the 17 SDGs. Dr Anand Jacob Verghese, Chairman of the Hindustan Group of Institutions, inaugurated the club and emphasised encouraging community involvement to showcase the institution's dedication to contributing to a sustainable future. The chief guest of the event was Rajesh R Trivedi, co-founder and managing trustee of ALERT, a volunteer-driven NGO. He inspired the students by sharing his wisdom and experiences with the former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. He appreciated the school's efforts in creating such an initiative.
