Six engineering colleges in Kerala to offer PG courses for working professionals

New Delhi: In a significant move, the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has sanctioned post-graduate courses for working professionals in 54 engineering colleges in the country. Six of these colleges are located in Kerala.

Under this programme, employed persons can pursue engineering PG courses along with their regular work. AICTE had recently been permitted to conduct similar diploma and BTech courses.

The AICTE’s order says that each course in a college will have 15 seats. The following are the engineering colleges in Kerala which will conduct the new programme and the courses sanctioned:

  • Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology, Attingal - Structural Engineering
  • Toc H Institute of Science and Technology, Kochi – Data Science
  • Ilahia College of Engineering and Technology, Muvattupuzha – Computer Aided Structural Engineering; Computer Science and Engineering
  • St Joseph’s College of Engineering and Technology, Pala – Computer Science and Engineering, Structural Engineering and Construction Management, VLSI and Embedded Systems.
  • Federal Institute of Science and Technology (FISAT), Angamaly – Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Renewable Energy.
  • MES College of Engineering and Technology, Kuttippuram – Computer Science and Engineering, Instrumentation and Control, Construction Engineering and Management.
