New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has said that lessons from outside the syllabus of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) have been included in the topics for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UGC).

The revised NEET syllabus includes portions not present in the updated NCERT syllabus but have been prescribed for study by the school boards of Bihar, Maharashtra, Kashmir, Nagaland, Manipur, and the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). These additional lessons have been integrated into the NEET exam syllabus.

According to authorities, the National Medical Commission prepared the NEET syllabus after studying the curricula of all state boards. The coming year’s NEET examination syllabus was drafted by excluding 14 chapters from the existing NEET syllabus.
