Commerce Association launched At Prajyoti Niketan College with an insightful session on banking

Thrissur: C Lakshmi Devi,AGM and Head HR(L&D), Principal, Staff Training College, South Indian Bank Ltd, Thrissur launched the Commerce Association of Prajyoti Niketan college, Thrissur here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmi Devi drew on her vast banking experience and provided insights into the ways in which financial organisations operate.

While delineating on roles and responsibilities of each department in a bank, she also focused on the job prospects in the sector. She stressed the significance of CIBIL ratings and advised the students against the lure of falling for fraudulent ways to make quick money. "It is important to have integrity, scruples and a strong personality to shape one's career and life. You need to develop skills that improve your cognitive ability," she said.

The session was followed by a lively Q&A session, which gave an opportunity for the students to gain a clear understanding of the banking business. Alan Lukose, Head of the Department, extended a warm welcome at the event. Principal Binu P Chacko delivered the presidential address, followed by felicitation from Theophin T P, College Union Chairman. Renjith R, Association Director delivered the vote of thanks. Agnus Shaju, Association Secretary, was also present on the occasion.
