Kochi: Zappyhire, a tech startup focussing on AI-driven automated interviews and automated recruitment platform, has unveiled a Talent Accelerator Programme in association with Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission and Kerala Startup Mission. The initiative aims to address the prevalent skill and industry readiness gaps among the freshers in the startup ecosystem.

Zappyhire launched the programme in response to growing skill mismatches and productivity gaps, a major concern within the startup ecosystems. As per the programme, Zappyhire identifies promising students from various colleges and provides them with intensive training for a period of 2-3 months. The primary objective is to equip the trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the industry from day one.

"We firmly believe in the power of nurturing talent and giving back to society," said Deepu Xavier and Jyothis K S, founders of Zappyhire. "Through the Talent Accelerator Programme, we are not only addressing a critical need in the startup community but also empowering young individuals to realise their full potential,” said Krishna G Nair, engineering team lead of Zappyhire.

The inaugural cohort of the Talent Accelerator Programme comprises 20 students from Women's Polytechnic College, Kalamassery. These students will undergo a hybrid curriculum, featuring face-to-face physical sessions with Zappyhire engineers once a week, supplemented by assignments and practical exercises throughout the week.

"By partnering with esteemed organizations like Kerala Startup Mission and Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission, we aim to amplify the impact of this initiative and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation," added Deepu Xavier. Kerala Knowledge Economy Mission (KKEM) is a flagship initiative of the government of Kerala, that aims to employ the educated youth population of the state.
