Kottayam: Students appearing for Kerala SSLC exams will be provided with ruled answer sheets this year. Each answer sheet will have eight leaves, including the main sheet where the details of students have to be entered.

Earlier, one additional answer sheet was provided with the main sheet. This year onwards, double sheets with rules will be provided additionally. Students could use six leaves in the main sheet to answer the questions.

Each page would have 25 lines. Pareeksha Bhavan (Office of the Commissioner of Government Examinations) officials said ruled papers would help in saving space.

However, the officials are yet to clear the teachers' doubts over providing ruled papers for maths and science subjects. Meanwhile, it has been instructed to distribute to students unused stock of unruled answer sheets.

The SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) exams are slated for March 4 to 25 this year.
