Saintgits Hosts 'Satwa 2024': A 36-hour national level hackathon

Kottayam: Satwa 2024, a 36-hour national level hackathon organized by the Saintgits College of Engineering (Autonomous), Pathamuttam, Kottayam, from February 27 to February 29 garnered widespread interest, attracting around 60 teams from across the nation.

The theme of Satwa 2024, "Preventive Healthcare Challenges," reflects a commitment to addressing pressing issues that impact our society's well-being. Satwa 2024 aimed to carve a niche in the landscape of hackathons by fostering a culture of innovation and creative problem-solving.

The first prize, worth Rs. 75,000/-, was awarded to Michael Arul Abel J, Joebin JS, Srinitha A, and Elakkiya SP of St. Joseph's Institute of Technology, Chennai, for their idea "Inner Sense – NexGen Mental Health System." The second prize, worth Rs. 25,000/-, was secured by Allen Saji, Reenphy George, Rajat Sandeep, and Milan Suman of St Joseph's College of Engineering and Technology, Palai, for their idea "Mindease."

The event was organized under the leadership of the chief coordinator, Dr. Nisha Joseph, and the student coordinator, C Jacob Thomas.
