Lok Sabha polls: CA exams, JEE-Advanced to be rescheduled

New Delhi: In light of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, changes are likey for the dates of CA exams and JEE-Advanced. However, authorities have confirmed that NEET-UG, JEE-Main, and CUET-UG exams will proceed as planned.

The CA (Chartered Accountancy) Inter Group 1 exams of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) are supposed to take place on May 3, 5 and 7 and Group 2 exams on May 9, 11 and 1. Similarly, the dates of CA Final Group 1 exams are May 2, 4 and 6 and Group 2, May 8, 10 and 12. These exams will be rescheduled, according to officials.

On the other hand, JEE-Main Session 2, scheduled from April 4 to 15, will proceed unchanged. However, officials from IIT-Madras, the organizing institution for JEE-Advanced this year, are expected to announce a shift from the current date of May 26. This adjustment is necessary due to Phase 6 of the Parliamentary elections scheduled for May 25.

NEET-UG, the national-level qualifying exam for MBBS and other undergraduate medical courses, is scheduled on May 5. Officials at National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the exam, indicated that there would be no change in the date.

Similarly, CUET-UG (Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate) also will take place as scheduled.
