Thiruvananthapuram: The deadline for submitting online applications for admission to the first-year higher secondary (Plus One) programme is today at 5 pm. Applications for admission to Model Residential Schools through the official portal www.hscap.kerala.gov.in will also close at the same time.

The trial allotment list is scheduled to be published on the evening of May 24. The first allotment will be announced on June 2, followed by the second on June 10, and the third on June 16. Classes for Plus One will commence on June 18.

Complaints galore over restrictions in name correction
Meanwhile, applicants have reported difficulties in correcting errors in their names once entered in the application form. The new system introduced this year does not allow name corrections during the application process, causing concern among students and parents.

However, the helpline has clarified that applicants who have made mistakes in entering their names can make corrections at the time of admission.

 The system that existed till last year allowed automatic filling of applicant details by entering the SSLC register number alone.
