Thiruvananthapuram: A total of 4,61,940 candidates have applied for the main phase of Plus One (Class 11) admissions in institutions following the Kerala syllabus. Among them, 4,29,494 qualified through the SSLC examination (Class 10) under the state syllabus, while 23,031 are from the CBSE stream, 2,300 from ICSE, and 7,115 from other boards.

Malappuram district recorded the highest number of applicants at 82,236, while Wayanad had the lowest with 12,131. The figures in other districts are:

The trial allotment will be published on May 24 and the three rounds of allotments in the main phase will take place on June 2, 10 and 16.

Classes will start on June 18 after admissions in the main allotment. Supplementary allotments will be conducted afterwards and admissions will be completed by June 23.

Students who could not apply during the main phase would be able to submit applications in the supplementary phase.

The number of applicants from the SSLC stream is around 5,000 more than the number of students who cleared the exam this year (4,24,583).
