A politician who does not shy away from cooking

We know G Sudhakaran as a popular leader and someone who dabbles with poetry; but there is something many people do not know about him. He is an ace in the kitchen too. He loves food, and for him, it is good food that makes the bonds stronger. We quiz him on what he would dish up for his wife Jubilee Navaprabha this Women's Day. G Sudhakaran says he is planning to treat his wife to a meal of broken wheat porridge (nurukku gothambu). To add that extra dash of taste, he says he will add coconut milk and a little bit of sugar if needed. Another dish he loves to prepare is dosa. He says you should take the right combination of urad dal and rice to prepare his delicious dosa. Unlike other dosas, his favourite dosa does not demand chutney for a side dish. It is best had with honey and plantain. He got into the kitchen for the first time, while he was studying in 10th standard to steal steamed colocasia (chembu), he remembered fondly, and then, over the years he learned to cook as well. He prefers his dishes to be a blend of sour, salt and spice and the first meal he cooked after marriage was rice and dal curry. The most delicious curry his wife has ever cooked is, a combination of jackfruit seeds and drumstick leaves ground with coconut. He loves fish and his favorites among seafood delicacies are dishes made with shark and pomfret.
