Check out how chef Pillai and Elikutty virtually cooks neymeen nirvana

Two super stars of Instagram have thrilled their followers with a unique virtual cooking session. Chef Suresh Pillai and Elikutty prepared the special neymeen (seer fish) nirvana that has now become viral on the social media. Elisabeth Marie Keyton or Elikutty, is popular among Keralites as the American who learns and teaches Malayalam on Instagram. Elikutty, who loves Malayalam and the Malabar cuisine, met chef Pillai through a common friend.

Chef Pillai who is currently in London gives instructions for Elikutty who cooks in Dubai. She prepared the neymeen nirvana in which seer fish is cooked in thick coconut milk. Elikutty enjoys the dish with flaky Malabar porotta. Here is the recipe of neymeen nirvana in case you are interested to try it out.

The seer fish fillets are marinated with chilli powder, pepper powder, salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice. The marinated fillets are then grilled on a non-stick pan. Spread a plantain leaf on another hot pan and place the marinated fish. Add green chillies, curry leaves, ginger, salt, pepper powder and coconut milk as well. Cook the fish well in the creamy coconut milk.
