Sprouts are a great source of vitamins and other essential nutrients. Those who are health conscious and wish to eat a nutritious diet should include sprouts in their regular menu. They are rich in anti-oxidants too.

However, most do not know how to make sprouts perfectly at home. Sprouts could be made if you have a plastic bottle and a piece of clean black colour cloth.

Wash half cup mung beans and soak them overnight. Poke holes on the bottom of a plastic bottle, using a soldering iron. Put the soaked mung beans in the bottle. Cover this bottle using the black cloth. Keep it in a dark spot. Dip this bottle, every morning and evening, in some water. The mung beans would have sprouted nicely by the fifth day. Sprouts could be enjoyed as delicious salads or stir fired.
