Schezwan noodles dosa

You could give your good old dosa a Chinese twist by adding spicy noodles as the filling. Check out the interesting recipe of schezwan noodles dosa.


2 tsp oil

2 cloves garlic (finely chopped)

3 spring onions (finely chopped)

1 small piece bell pepper

1 carrot (chopped)

½ cup cabbage (chopped)

1 tsp schezwan sauce

1 tsp soy sauce

Salt as required

1 tsp vinegar

1 cup rice noodles/instant noodles (cooked)

For the dosa

4 cups dosa batter

2 tsp butter

3 tsp schezwan sauce


Heat oil in a pan and sauté the garlic

Add the spring onion

Now add the carrot, bell pepper and cabbage

Sauté for a minute

Into it add the schezwan sauce, soy sauce, vinegar and salt

Mix well

Add the cooked noodles

Mix gently without breaking the noodle strands apart

Pour some dosa batter on a hot greased pan

Spread some butter and schezwan sauce as well

Place 2 tsp schezwan noodles in the centre

Cook until the bottom part of the dosa turns golden in colour

Fold the dosa with the noodles inside

Cut the dosa with the noodles filling in half

Enjoy the schezwan noodles dosa with tomato ketchup.
