Malida is a sweet Afghani snack. A quick-fix savoury, it can be made with just a few ingredients available at home.

If the family has had its fill of chapathis with quite a few leftover, grab some raisins, almonds, nuts, and sugar. And hey presto! Here's a bowl of Malida all ready for the kill.

Ingredients
4 chapathis
2 tablespoon ghee
½ cup grated coconut
5-10 almonds
¼ cup cashews
2 tablespoon raisins
2 tablespoon sugar
½ teaspoon powdered cardamom

Preparation
Make chapathis with the wheat powder, spread some ghee on them and set aside
Rip the chapathis into small pieces and coarsely powder them in a blender jar
Heat a pan, pour in the ghee and fry the raisins, followed by almonds and cashew nuts and set aside
Roast the grated coconut too. When the raw taste is gone, add in the powdered chapathis, mix well
Now add the sugar and powdered cardamom and mix thoroughly
Garnish with raisins.
