Poricha pathiri or fried pathiri is one of the hundred different varieties of the iconic pathiri dishes of Malabar. It is spicy, tasty, and has bags of flavours as well. Here's how you could easily prepare the special poricha pathiri.

Ingredients
Coconut oil, as required
1 onion (chopped)
1 tbsp ginger (chopped)
2 green chillies (chopped)
¼ tsp cumin
1 ¼ cups water
Salt as required
1 cup rice flour
½ cup all purpose flour
¼ tsp black sesame seeds

Preparation
Heat coconut oil in a pan and sauté onion, ginger, green chillies, and cumin
Into it add water and salt and boil the mixture
When the mixture boils, mix in the rice flour first and then the all purpose flour
Add the black sesame seeds and mix into soft dough
Scoop small balls from the dough and roll into thin round shapes
Fry these pathiri in hot oil until both sides are nice and brown.
