Broken rice pudding

Not just a bowl of hot kanji (porridge), but broken rice could be used to make sweet and delicious pudding as well. Try out this special broken rice pudding to make your New Year feasts extra sweet.

Ingredients
1 glass broken rice
1 ½ glass milk
4-5 biscuits
Small cube butter
Condensed milk as required
2 tsp sugar
3 cardamom pods
3 tsp broken rice

Preparation
Into a pressure cooker, add the washed broken rice, cardamom pods and milk
Cook on low flame until two whistles
Mix in the condensed milk and keep it aside
Heat some butter in a pan
Add the crumbled biscuits and mix well. Keep it aside
Dry roast 3 tsp broken rice
Prepare the sugar syrup by boiling water and sugar
Add the roasted broken rice into the sugar syrup and caramelize it
Transfer this caramelized broken rice onto a sheet of butter paper
Allow this to set
Crumble the caramelized broken rice
Into the serving bowl, add the butter biscuit crumble as the first layer
Spread the broken rice and milk mixture on top of it
Sprinkle the caramelized broken rice as the top layer
This pudding could be enjoyed as a warm dessert. However, it tastes best when served chilled.
