Cabbage Manchurian


Cabbage is a very versatile ingredient that can be cooked in many ways. Here is a pretty simple recipe of cabbage Manchurian that tastes good with chapathi, roti, or fried rice.

1 cup shredded cabbage
½ onion (chopped)
¼ cup bell pepper
2 tbsp spring onion
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp ginger
1 tsp green chillies
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 tbsp corn flour
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
½ tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1½ tsp soy sauce
1½ tsp tomato ketchup
1½ tsp red chilli sauce
1½ tsp oil
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar
Salt as required

Press the shredded cabbage to remove water from it
Marinate these with the all-purpose flour, corn flour, salt, ginger-garlic paste and chilli paste
In case water is required to mix, use the water that has been drained off the cabbage
Make small balls of this marinated cabbage 
Fry these cabbage balls until brown
Heat oil in another pan
Sauté spring onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies, and salt
Add onions as well
Now add the bell pepper and sauté well
Into it add soy sauce, tomato sauce, chilli sauce and lemon juice
Add some sugar as well
Finally add the fried cabbage balls
Mix well and cook for 2 minutes
Turn off the flame and garnish with chopped spring onion.
