North Indian tawa kulcha

Kulcha is a delicious flatbread that is a regular item in the menus at the Indian restaurants around the globe. However, it is very easy to prepare soft and flaky kulcha at home that tastes amazing with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries. Check out the pretty simple recipe of tawa kulcha.

Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp powdered sugar
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
1 ½ tsp salt
¼ cup yoghurt
2 tsp oil
Water as required
Coriander leaves as required
Sesame seeds as required

Preparation
Mix all the ingredients together
Mix using hands for at least 10 minutes to soften the dough
Keep it aside for 2 hours
Now, make balls and roll into oval shaped sheets
Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves and sesame seeds and roll again
Flip the sheet, roll and brush some water
Place the kulcha with this side touching the hot iron tawa
After a minute, flip the tawa to cook the upper part of the kulcha
You could make this kulcha on a chapathi grill as well.
