Green gram is a storehouse of protein and is an excellent energy booster. Including green gram in your regular diet is the best way to improve immunity as well. You could easily make this tasty and nutritious chutney powder and store it in containers. Here is the recipe.
½ cup green gram
2 tbsp grated coconut
2 tsp urad dal
Curry leaves as required
10 dried chillies
Gooseberry sized ball of tamarind
Salt as required
Wash the green grams and drain
Dry roast the green grams, urad dal and peppercorns
When they are almost brown, add grated coconut, curry leaves, dried chillies, ginger and shallots
Now add the tamarind and salt
Mix well and turn off the flame
Grind this mixture in a mixer jar after it has cooled down
Store the chutney powder in airtight containers and use as required.
