The classic English breakfast is a wholesome meal that typically includes eggs, potatoes, mushrooms and sausages. Here is how you could easily prepare it at home.
Ingredients
3 potatoes
3 eggs
1 packet sausage
1 packet bacon
250 gms mushrooms
2 tomatoes
Butter, salt, milk, pepper powder, oil and spring onions
Preparation
Heat a cube of butter in a hot pan. Add 3 eggs and ¼ tsp salt
When the eggs begin to set, scrape and stir the eggs until they are soft and fluffy. Turn off the flame after 2 minutes
Heat oil in a pan and fry the sausages
You could use pork, beef or chicken sausages as per your preference
Sprinkle some pepper powder to add that extra zing
Take the sausages off the pan when the outer skin is perfectly cooked
Fry the bacon in hot oil. Sprinkle some pepper powder too
Make sure to flip and cook both sides
As bacon is pork meat that is dried by rubbing salt, there is no need to add extra salt while cooking
Wash the mushrooms and cut them into small pieces. Heat butter in a pan and fry the mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper
Cut the tomatoes in half and rub them with some salt and pepper. Heat butter in a pan and fry the tomatoes for 4-5 minutes
You could use canned beans. Pour the contents in the can into a hot pan and cook for 2 -3 minutes on low flame
Peel the potatoes and boil them. Now, mash the boiled potatoes by adding 3-4 cubes of butter
Pour half cup milk slowly while mixing the mashed potatoes on low flame
Add ¼ tsp salt too. Mix until the mashed potato is smooth and creamy
Add a dollop of butter on top. Garnish with chopped spring onion
You could also serve hash brown or fried potatoes for the classic English breakfast
