As millet is more fibrous than wheat and rice, it is an excellent food for diabetes patients.  Being a very versatile ingredient, millet could be used to make countless interesting dishes. You could boost immunity if you include millet for at least a meal every day. Besides, it prevents obesity too. Here is the recipe for millet appam which tastes exactly like the regular palappam.

Ingredients
2 cups millet powder
¼ cup rice
2 tbsp sugar
Salt as required
¼ tsp yeast
1 cup coconut milk
Water as required

Preparation
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, using a spoon
Now blend it well in a mixer jar for half a minute
Keep it aside for the batter to rise
Make tasty appam and palappam using this batter
Millet appam tastes best with coconut milk and sugar.
