Prawns pickle

Check out the recipe of fried prawns pickle that can be enjoyed with rice, chapathi or roti.

Ingredients
½ kg prawns
1 piece ginger
2 garlic bulbs
3 green chillies
2 sprigs curry leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds
¾ tsp fenugreek seeds
½ tsp asafoetida powder
3 tbsp chili powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ cup vinegar
½ tsp sugar
Salt as required
¼ cup coconut oil

Preparation
Clean and de-vein the prawns
Marinate them with salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder
Fry the marinated prawns
Set them aside
Add mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds into the same oil
Allow these to splutter
Now add ginger, garlic, green chillies and curry leaves
Sauté well
Add chilli powder
Sauté until the raw smell of it is gone
Pour the vinegar
Allow the gravy to boil
Into it add the fried prawns
Mix well
Add salt and asafoetida powder
Finally add the sugar too
Store the delicious prawns pickle in air tight jars after it has cooled down.
