This home-made beef burger is tasty and juicy

Tasty and juicy beef burgers could be made pretty easily at home. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
1 medium-sized onion
6 burger buns
2 tbsp vegetable/olive oil
6 cheese slices
Thyme
Lettuce as required
Tomatoes
For the beef patties
500 gms beef mince (80% meat and 20% fat)
1 egg
Salt as required
1 onion (finely chopped)
1 tsp crushed pepper/ pepper powder
Thyme
For the sauce
¾ cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp tabasco sauce
Salt as required
Juice of half lemon
3 tbsp jalapeños (finely chopped)
½ tsp crushed pepper/ pepper powder

Preparation
To make the patty, take the beef mince, egg, salt, onion, crushed pepper/ pepper powder and thyme in a bowl
Mix well
Make balls of same size from this
Press these balls between your palms to make the patties
You could make up to six patties from it
In this recipe, each patty weighs around 80 gms
Set them aside to be used later
Mix the mayonnaise, tomato sauce, tabasco sauce, salt, lemon juice, jalapenos and crushed pepper/pepper powder to make the burger sauce
Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan
Add the onion and caramelize them on medium flame for 2-3 minutes
Cut the burgers in half
Toast them in the same pan
Now heat 2 tbsp vegetable/olive oil and 1 tbsp butter
Sprinkle some thyme
Now add the beef patties
Cook for 4-5 minutes on low flame
Press the patties using a spatula while cooking
Flip and cook until both sides are nicely done
Place a cheese slice on top of each patty
Close these patties in the pan using a lid
Cook for another 1-2 minutes
To assemble the burger, first spread the sauce on both the bun slices
Place the lettuce, some caramelized onions, tomato and the beef patty on the bottom half of the bun
Now place the top half of the bun
Enjoy the super delicious and juicy beef burger.
