Crushed mango chutney

It is a tasty side dish to try if you are tired of having the same old mango chutney and pickles. The fabulous aroma of fresh coconut oil combines with the sweet and sour flavours of crushed mango. Here is the simple recipe of crushed mango chutney.

Ingredients
2 raw mangoes
20 shallots
6 dried chilies
Rock salt as required
1 tbsp coconut oil
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp chili powder
Curry leaves
A pinch of fenugreek powder
¼ tsp asafoetida powder
1 tsp mustard seeds

Preparation
First, crush the mangoes on the traditional stone grinder
Set it aside to be used later
Now crush the rock salt, dried chilies and shallots
Add the mangoes back and roll the stone pestle over the ingredients again to mix everything
Heat coconut oil in a pan
Splutter mustard seeds
Roast the fenugreek powder
Into it add the curry leaves and asafoetida powder
Mix well
Now add the crushed mango mix
Add turmeric powder and chili powder
Give everything a good mix
Serve the crush mango chutney with piping hot rice.
