Wine in a day? Try this overnight recipe for Christmas

Are you late for the wine 'party'? Forgot to ferment some earlier and thereby, missed out the 'homemade wine train'? Here's a quick fix. This sweet and tasty wine could be prepared in a jiffy using ripe palayankodan bananas. Check out the recipe.

Ingredients
2 kg ripe palayankodan bananas
1 kg brown sugar
1 tsp instant yeast
3 dried chillies
5 cardamom pods
5 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1 small piece ginger
2 litres water

Preparation
Boil the water and let it cool
Crush the dried chillies, cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon and ginger
Mash the ripe bananas too
Add the mashed bananas, sugar, crushed aromatics and yeast in a clean glass bottle
Add the cooled water
Mix well and seal the bottle
Keep it overnight
The next day, open the bottle and strain the wine
Store the wine in glass bottles.
