Easy, no-bake chocolate souffle

Though you may need no oven for this recipe, make sure there is an electric blender present at the house, unless you want have some hectic wrist exercise. The list of the ingredients are so simple that you might probably have everything you need in your kitchen cupboards.

Easy, no-bake chocolate souffle

So, if you are looking for some last minute addition to your feast, this is the way to go.

Ingredients
2 tbsp cocoa
2 tsp gelatin
3 tbsp water
1 tsp flour
2 cups of milk
4 eggs
120 gm sugar
2 pinches of salt
1 ½ tsp vanilla essence

Preparation
Mix cocoa, flour, salt and ½ cup milk until there are no lumps left
Break 4 eggs and separate the whites and yolks
In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with 60 gm sugar
Slowly add 1 ½ cup milk
Beat well
Double boil this to make custard
Add the cocoa mixture to the custard
Cook until it turns thick
Remove from the heat and leave it to cool
Dissolve the gelatine mixture in a double boiler
Reheat the custard
Add dissolved gelatin to it
Add 1 tsp vanilla essence to it and stir well
Run the custard through a sieve
Leave it in the refrigerator until semi set
Mean while, beat the egg whites
Add 60 gm sugar to it gradually
Add 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Beat until it turns stiff
Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the half set custard
Refrigerate until set
Top it with slivered almonds or white chocolate before serving
