Super soft appams are a delight to enjoy as breakfast, with or without curries. However, making the appam batter is quite a task, often. Check out this really simple recipe for an instant appam without adding rice powder.
1 ½ cups semolina
2 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp wheat flour
½ cup boiled rice
A pinch of salt
2 ½ cups lukewarm water
¾ tsp instant yeast
Blend all the ingredients in the big mixer jar into soft
Keep the batter aside for ten minutes for it to rise
Pour a ladle full of batter on a hot pan
Soft appam tastes best when enjoyed hot.
