An oil-free snack with bananas and wheat flour

Here’s a healthy snack that could be prepared without oil and all that you need are ripe bananas, wheat flour and jaggery. Often, we are faced with the problem of overripe bananas and this unique snack offers an ideal solution. Laced with the taste of ghee, kids will also love this healthy preparation. 

Ingredients
1 teaspoon ghee
2 bananas sliced
1 teaspoon powdered cardamom
¼ cup scraped coconut
200 grams jaggery
2 cups wheat flour
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
¾ teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch of salt
1 teaspoon black sesame seeds

Preparation
Take 200 grams of jaggery in a pan and add ¾ cup of water
Heat the pan in order to dissolve the jaggery thoroughly in the water
When ready, keep it aside to cool
Take another pan and pour ghee
Add the sliced bananas, cardamom powder and scraped coconut into the pan and cook properly
When the mixture is done, keep this pan aside
Take a third pan and put two cups of wheat flour, ½ teaspoon cumin seeds, ¾ teaspoon baking powder and a pinch of salt
Stir thoroughly and add the jaggery solution prepared earlier which has been cooled to room temperature, to this mixture
If needed, add a little more water
The mixture should be more firm than idli batter.
Next, add the banana mix in the second pan to this mixture
Add one teaspoon of black sesame seeds and continue stirring
Transfer the final mixture to small vessels which were rubbed with butter
Keep the vessels in a steamer and cook on low flame for 15 minutes
The tasty snack is ready to be served
