Chemeen podi masala: An easy, one-pan spicy dish with prawns

Prawns can impress us in any form and if you are game to experiment more with it, try 'chemmeen podi masala' that's full of distinct flavours. It can delight you both as a snack or a starter or as a curry with your favourite bread. Add some zing to your day with this dish that not only looks classy but is easy to make.

Ingredients
300 gms medium prawns
Salt to taste
3 gms turmeric powder
10 gms ginger garlic paste
10 ml vinegar
50 ml coconut oil
5 gms curry leaves
20 gms crushed shallots
20 gms Kashmiri chilly powder
8 gms fennel seeds
10 gms peppercorns
5 gms rice powder
5 gms maida

Preparation
Marinate the prawns using salt, ginger garlic paste, vinegar and turmeric powder
Keep it aside for 30 minutes
Prepare a mix of powders using Kashmiri chilly powder, fennel seeds, peppercorns, rice powder and maida
Dip the marinated prawns into the prepared powder and mix with coconut oil, curry leaves and crushed shallots
Cook the prawns in a medium heat tawa for 3 to 4 minutes
Enjoy your prawns with breads or rice
