Jamun wine: The ruby red drink adds colour to your festival menu

Jamun, known locally as ‘njaval’, is a summer fruit with an array of health benefits. The wine prepared out of the fruit also makes an amazingly delicious health drink. And you can make it at home in just seven days. Here’s how:

Ingredients
2 kg jamun fruit
1 kg sugar
100 grams cinnamon
100 grams clove
250 grams wheat
3 litres of hot water
100 grams of yeast

Preparation
Properly wash the Jamun fruits and remove the seeds
Put the flesh in a mixer and grind without adding water
Pour the same into a bottle or a crock
Add cinnamon, clove, sugar, yeast, wheat, and the boiled water into it and stir it well for 15 minutes
Now cover and tie it with a cloth. After three days, stir well the pulp once more and again tie it up
Open the lid after seven days. You can notice the clear wine at the top
Sieve the wine out and keep it aside for several hours to settle
Here the colourful, tasty, and healthy wine is ready to captivate your senses
