Prawns as starters: Kick-start your party with this crispy seafood

Some of us can be allergic to shrimp and king prawns but still it's one of the most favourite seafood dishes. People prepare different dishes using prawns such as theeyal, roast and fry, etc. Let’s see how the prawns can be used to prepare a variety, yet delicious dishes. Here’s the simple recipe:

Ingredients
35 to 40 prawns
1 tablespoon chilli powder
½ teaspoon pepper powder
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 ½ teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
½ lemon juice
Salt (as required)
2 eggs
½ cup maida (refined wheat flour)
½ cup corn flour
Oil (as required)

Preparation
Firstly, clean and devein the prawns by carving a 
line from top to bottom of each prawn, and removing the vein 
Make sure that the prawns are not cut into two pieces
Keep them in a vessel and add in chilli, pepper, and turmeric powders and mix them well with ginger and garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt
Marinate and coat the prawns by rubbing all the ingredients gently
Keep it aside for 20 minutes
Take two eggs, beat them well by adding salt
Take another vessel, put in the maida, corn flour, salt, and ¼ teaspoons of pepper, and mix well (You may also add in ginger and garlic powder if required)
Dip the marinated prawn into the egg mix and remove the excess maida by shaking it well
Fry it for some four minutes in high flame and place it in a tissue paper
Serve the dish with mayonnaise and ketchup and a delicious starter is ready
