Multi-layer biryani chai: Game to give the spicy drink a try?

When chef Neha Deepak Sha shared the recipe of biryani chai on her social media page a few days ago, it divided the citizens on various culinary aspects. 'How can it be related to biryani? How is it even a chai? The name is misleading' and more were the observations thrown around by many food enthusiasts, while a handful also opined that the drink tastes amazing. According to Neha, the 'chai' is quite popular in Dubai and people line up in long queues to take a sip of it. Here's how to prepare it if you are game to try the spicy drink.

Ingredients
1/2 litre of water
2 inch cinnamon stick
1 star anise
7 to 8 black peppercorns
3 to 4 cardamom
1/2 tsp fennel
1/2 tsp tea powder
For every glass 
1 big chunk of ginger
2 tsp honey
1/2 lime's juice
4 to 5 mint leaves
Masala chai water

Preparation
Boil cinnamon, star anise, black peppercorns, cardamom, a pinch of tea leaves, and fennel in water for 7 mins
Crush the big chunk of ginger
In a glass, put the crushed ginger first, followed by some honey and mint leaves
Pour the masala-tea water into it and enjoy it
