Actor Jayaram's physical transformation has taken Keralite social media by storm. The actor shared his full-size photograph through his official social media handle on July 26 Friday, leaving the whole Mollywood audience awestruck. The actor who appeared with a pot-belly and obese physic in the songs of his upcoming Malayalam flick 'Pattabhiraman' just six days before, was seen with a well-built body, flat abs and huge biceps!
His followers responded to the pic with interesting comments and comparisons. While someone asked whether it was a 'FaceApp'ed picture of Kalidas Jayaram, another openly wondered who cropped Jayaram's head and placed it over Kalidas's body. Onmanorama caught up with Jayaram to ask what was the motivation, purpose and strategy of shedding weight and building a perfect body in such a short span of time.
“It might sound funny for you guys; only I know the struggles of past sixty days,” Jayaram said. The actor shed weight for his upcoming Telugu movie starring Allu Arjun. Jayaram said he undertook rigorous workout and diet regime to get into shape.
“I play the role of a food inspector who is also a big foodie in 'Pattabhiraman.' The character demanded a pot belly and an obese physic. By the time I completed the shoot schedules of that movie, I was badly in need of a physical makeover. I was called for a powerful character in an Allu Arjun movie at that point of time. I had just two months of gap in between. I chose to utilize each minute of those two months to get into size,” he said.
The actor said that he was hesitant to do away with food of his choice and to get up early in the morning for workouts.
According to Jayaram, age is just a number. The age we are born in, that which we go to school, the fake age we claim in a job resume and that which we die are all different. The real age is what our heart tells us. Deep in my heart, I am just eighteen – said Jayaram.
Speaking about his fashion preferences, Jayaram said he is a great fan of earrings. He has a wide collection of stud earrings. It was Jayaram's dream to own a traditional 'kadukkan' which he couldn't find in any of the modern jewellery. It was his wife and Mollywood's yester-year heroine Parvathy who gifted him a 'kadukkan' embellished with a catchy red precious stone.
“I don't know where she found it. I guess she approached a goldsmith and customized the design for me. However, I haven't removed it from my ear after I received it. It has almost become my lucky charm,” the actor said.
Jayaram loves flaunting mundu and shirt both casual and party occasions. He advises that one should be able to carry the costume one wears in a perfect manner. “Fashion is not about fitting into a random costume. It is all about wearing an attire of your choice and carrying it elegantly,” he said.
