It indeed is a dream for many to build a fabulous house of their own without breaking the bank. However, like everything else in life, building a house too may face ‘starting trouble’ or hesitation or lack of confidence on the part of the owner. So, the first step towards building your dream abode is to keep aside your fears and hesitations and use whatever savings you have to purchase a plot or begin construction in the plot that you already own.

Once the construction starts, you will find the enthusiasm to continue the works and finally complete the house. We may then dedicate our focus solely on getting the works done on time.

Until a year ago, a regular house of 1000 sqft could be completed on a budget of Rs 20 lakh. However, now, it requires at least Rs 25 lakh. The construction rates have gone up by Rs 500 per square foot. Currently, the permit fees and various taxes too have skyrocketed. Besides, the price of construction materials too has increased. As the price of petrol and diesel go up, the transportation charges of construction charges keep rising.

In order to build the house of your dreams, merely having the money is not enough; favourable situations too play a pivotal role in this. The common man may not be able to construct a house with proper financial backup. So, favourable circumstances should be seen as an initial investment. There are many who struggle to purchase land or begin construction in their plots despite having enough money.

More than the money, our determination is what matters the most when it comes to building your amazing abode.
