It would be an understatement to call it a home. Rather it qualifies to be termed as a golden palace. That’s the ‘Aakkaakuzhil’ house of expatriate Jobi and his family at Kaipattoor in Pathanamthitta district. In fact, in the last three days, more than 12 lakh people have already seen the video of this house through 'Manorama Veedu' YouTube and Facebook pages. We are here to provide you with endless information about this golden palace.

The theme of the house is a blend of colonial and Arabic. The spectacular sights begin right from the perimeter wall and gate. A spacious landscape provides grandeur to the house. There are lawns, palm trees, waterfalls, and gazebos assembled here. Similar to airports, the courtyard is arranged in such a way that you go up the ramp, park the car on the porch, and come back down. It took more than a year to complete the surrounding wall and landscape.

There is a sitting, formal living, family living, dining, private living, four types of kitchen, a pool area, two bedrooms, bathrooms, and an office on the ground floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, bathrooms, a home theatre, and a balcony. It has a total area of 10000 square feet.

When you enter the main door, you will think you have entered a spacious auditorium. It is reminiscent of the altars of the churches in Italy and elsewhere. Here the roof is shaped like a crown. The heart of the house is this triple-height dome area.

Clearly, the family never wanted to compromise on the quality. So they have used the most advanced branded products for furnishing. Another highlight is the imported giant Chandelier. In fact, chandeliers spread a glow in many parts of the house.

Another luxury feature is the staircase that diverges to either side. It has sensor lights to illuminate when stepping on it. The first landing on the wall is decorated with a combination of CNC cuttings and mirrors in a golden theme.

The owner is aware that climbing stairs would be a task even in middle age and soon he would have to deal with knee pain and back pain. So they have practically installed an elevator inside the house. Both floors can be easily accessed through this.

Meanwhile, the kitchen has been divided into four for better utility. There is a panty kitchen that works as a serving space, a modular kitchen with a fridge, an inbuilt oven and dishwasher as well as a breakfast counter. Then there is the main working kitchen that has an automated stove. There is also an outdoor fire kitchen as the area gets plenty of firewood.

The couple has three little girls. And the bedrooms are designed according to their wishes. Pink-themed wallpaper, curtains full of cartoons, and lighting of dew drop petals all create a magical world for them.
From the balcony space, you get a good view of the landscape and the road. The upper door has the same design as the main door.

Jobi's father has been doing business in Oman for over 45 years. Jobi and his family will be in Oman most of the time to help him with his business. As the householders are non-residents, advanced automation technologies have been used here. Lighting, CCTV, gates, etc. can be controlled from anywhere in the world. One can write pages about this golden palace but perhaps you can watch the video for better effect.
