Ernakulam: Young Hanan Hamid had touched a chord with Keralites a few years ago as pictures of her selling fish in school uniform spread across media.

Even as the public were rooting for her in her desperate bid to raise money for her studies, she suffered injuries to her spine in a car accident. Now, Hanan is back on her feet after four years of treatment and has wowed her well-wishers and even detractors with a stunning workout video.

The doctors had assessed that there was only a 10 per cent chance of her being able to walk.

"When I came to the gym, probably the trainer too felt that I could only do 20 per cent of the workout activities here. But he never said that you won’t be able to do this," Hanan said.

"I had informed the trainer that I couldn't walk properly, and that someone had to help me even to stand up. But he assured me that these issues can be resolved but it would take time," Hanan said.

The workout video is making waves on social media. It shows Hanan training at the gym, Jinto Body Craft at Vennala, Ernakulam. In two months she managed to tone the body.

The video was shared on the YouTube channel of Anec Dot media.
