Sharjah: The suffering of the Palestinian people remains a poignant concern for peace advocates worldwide, senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala said here.

The former leader of opposition in Kerala Assembly said the enduring wails of the Palestinian people have reverberated across the globe for more than seven decades.

He made the remarks while addressing a book launch event at the Sharjah Book Festival. Chennithala released the Malayalam book titled 'Palestinile Nilavilikal: Paschimeshyan Velluvilikal' (Wails in Palestine: West-Asian Challenges) by Mansoor Palloor by handing over a copy to United Democratic Front convenor M M Hassan.

Chennithala hailed Mansoor Palloor’s work as a powerful expression of Palestinian solidarity, particularly coming from a Congress perspective.
